I'm Scarlet :)
I built an e-commerce business at 13.
In college, I consulted for small businesses.
Today, I bring both perspectives into every product I design.
Scarlet's Stitchery
Founder/Owner/Designer
My journey into design started with entrepreneurship! At nine years old, I taught myself how to crochet through YouTube videos. Four years later, at just 13 years old, I begged my mom to let me open up an Etsy shop. In 2018, Scarlet's Stitchery was born. I turned a hobby into an e-commerce business that has grown into the global brand it is today.
Building Scarlet's Stitchery gave me my first experience designing for real people. From creating products and branding to managing an online storefront and understanding customer feedback, I learned how every interaction shapes the way people connect with a business.
As my shop has grown, I have expanded beyond physical products by designing and selling digital PDF crochet patterns. This experience has taught me how to organize information clearly, create intuitive digital experiences, and understand how users interact with a product beyond a traditional purchase.
Scarlet's Stitchery by the Numbers:
- 70+ countries reached
- $100K+ revenue generated
- $30K+ generated through digital patterns
- 1,000+ five-star reviews
- 35K+ social followers

Small Business Development Center
Digital Business Consultant
While building Scarlet's Stitchery taught me how to create for my own customers, my work at Bucknell's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has allowed me to bring my entrepreneurial perspective to other businesses.
As a Presidential Fellow, I chose to become a Digital Business Consultant at the SBDC. Over the past four years, I have worked alongside small business owners to strengthen their online presence through website strategy, design, and digital solutions.
I have always been fascinated by web design. I think of websites like little homes on the internet. Each one should reflect the personality of the business while creating a welcoming and intuitive experience for visitors. Working with clients across industries has allowed me to combine my entrepreneurial background with my passion for design, helping businesses build digital experiences that support both their goals and their customers.
When Not on Land ...
You can usually find me at the ice rink. I'm a U.S. Figure Skating Triple Gold Medalist!
During my freshman year, I founded Bucknell's first-ever Figure Skating Club, creating opportunities for students to skate together through organized practices, private ice time, and transportation to the rink.
Whether building a business, designing digital experiences, or creating a club from scratch, you can count on me to turn ideas into something real.
